Molotov Jukebox

Fig 1. Molotov Jukebox

For anyone that doesn’t know Molotov Jukebox, the kings of Gystep this post will be a very necessary eduction. I first met Nat, lead singer and dynamo of the group when she life modeled for BLDS last year; her patience as a model is belied by the passionate energy of her personality and probably owes a lot to her stage and screen background (About a Boy, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones etc).

It’s as a singer that she truly brings the gravitational force of her personality to bear, drawing about her a stellar band of musicians (not least of which is the multi-talented Sam Apley, co-founder of Brighton collective Circus Kinetica) and forging the most incredible ska-tinged-gypsy-dubstep that you’ve ever not been able to stop yourself dancing to.

I’ve had the privilege of creating their logo (top), Laid to Rest single artwork (iTunes link here) and the artwork for their new EP, Double Dare (below). You need these guys in your lives, they’ll be playing the festival circuit all summer and as a special treat you can download a free single I Need It right here.

Enjoy, and keep up to date with them via their website www.molotov-jukebox.co.uk.
